Death as Life

As a Father lies dying the loving daughter asks, "Dad, is there anything that I can do for you?" The Father replies with a whisper, "No, thank you."

Minutes later, the daughter again asks her dying Father, "Dad is there anything I can do for you?" The Father replies with a whisper, "No, thank you."

A half-hour goes by and the daughter checks-in with her Father, "Dad is there anything that I can do for you?"  The Father replies with a slightly elevated whisper,

"Do nothing. Just be with me."
